Alan Hannah 2012 Collection

Guest Fashion Blogger Annalize Senol of Morgan Davies reports from the front row at the Alan Hannah 2012 preview collection at White Gallery 2011.

Alan Hannah 2012 Collection | TheWeddingVine.com

I have seen many collections in my time at Morgan Davies, 11 years to be precise, but the collection Marguerite Hannah did for Alan Hannah’s show at White Gallery 2011 superceded my expectations.  It was to say the least, simply beautiful and will make any bride that puts on one of her dresses, feel like a princess.  I don’t just mean in the fairytale sense, more like the Duchess of Cambridge or Grace Kelly sense.

Marguerite’s collection for Alan Hannah has a dress for all occasions, whether you are a destination bride or prefer a traditional gown with a twist, you will love what she has designed.  There are soft drapes and beautiful beading but for me the two showstoppers were the Kathrine inspired dress with beautifully fine chantilly lace and Thai silk, and a silver lace gown with a very low back and diamante buttons all the way down the back - it took me back to the 50’s!

She has a kindness in her designs that speaks book volumes, every woman in the world should have the chance to try on an Alan Hannah dress, because the moment you feel the quality and the fantastic cut and you see what it does for your figure you will never feel the same about any other dress.  The dresses are old school couture, made like a very special dress should be made, with great care and attention and hand finished like the Paris couture houses used to do.  With so much manufacturing around you can really tell when a dress has that special feeling and that it has been made with loving care and attention to detail.  With prices to suit all pockets, we look forward to seeing many brides in this beautiful collection.

I am so happy that modesty in bridal dresses are back in vogue. Give me a break that everyone is seeing what only the groom should be seeing at their honeymoon night. I am sure that many a preacher almost choked trying to keep his mind on the task at hand...keep the girls covered please...

These dresses are gorgeous. The sleeves are similar to Kate Middleton's dress which is very elegant and sophisticated.
