Monaco's Royal Princess in waiting models Royal Wedding Dress selections

Giorgio Armani has been chosen to design the Royal wedding dress of Prince Albert of Monaco’s fiancé and Princess in waiting, Charlene Whittstock.  Armani declared to reporters at his fashion show last week in Milan that he had indeed been given the great honour of being chosen to design the Monaco Royal Wedding Dress, though understandably the gowns design will remain strictly under wraps until the Royal Wedding Day.

Charlene has often been seen wearing Armani’s iconic designs including  Monaco’s National Day in November and it’s glamorous Rose Ball Gala, so it comes as no surprise that she has chosen the couturier to design the Royal Wedding gown.

In Decemeber Charlene graced the cover of Tattler magazine with a stunning bridal photo shoot at Palais Princier de Monaco, photographed by iconic fashion photographer Ruven Afandor. In the stylish bridal feature, the Royal bride-to-be gave no hint of her future choice when she wore a beautiful ivory silk georgette gown from Ralph Lauren’s Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection and a dramatic ostrich feather cape from his 2009 Autumn/Winter Collection.

Charlene’s sleek and polished look was styled by Tatler’s fashion editor Hannah Teare and is both classic and beautiful, allowing her natural beauty to come shining through.  Her hair was styled by Madeleine Cofano in a simple chignon with glossing serum and her sophisticated look was created by leading make-up artist Lisa Eldridge, using make-up by Dior.

“The early sittings of Queen Elizabeth were the inspiration for the shoot and my aim was to create a classic make-up look that would stand the test of time. Natural with good eye definition, flawless skin and classic shades makes this a look suitable for a royal sitting.

Charlene was great to work with and, judging from these images, is going to make an absolutely stunning bride and an eternally beautiful princess.” – Leading Make up artist, Lisa Eldridge

Diamonds really are a girl’s best friend as Charlene’s classic look is given that touch of sophisticated glamour with exquisite yellow and white platinum and diamond jewels by Graff.
