#TravelTuesday: Tempting Thailand!

Thailand is proving one of the most popular destinations with over 26 million tourists flocking there each year! Travellers come from far and wide to soak in the countries’ history and many attractions, and that’s no different for newlyweds! Thailand is becoming an increasingly fashionable place for honeymoons, where lovebirds can relax and explore what Thailand has to offer! The most common place to fly to is Bangkok, so we’ll start our journey there.

Bangkok - It's not just famous for 'lady boys' and the travellers haven 'Koh San Road'. Bangkok has the floating markets, the Grand Palace, sky bars like Banyan Tree's and some incredible luxurious hotels like 'The Mandarin Oriental' and 'The Okura Prestige'; famed for its' huge infinity pool overlooking the Bangkok skyline. so whether you want to get caught up in the bustling capital or take refuge in Lumphini Park away from the Bangkok madness, your're sure to find something to suit you both!

A fun and fabulous way to see all of Thailand is to Island hop; with over 250 islands, Thailand is full of hidden wonders that must be explored by everyone in their life time!

Koh Samui- This Island has become quite commercialised and is bustling with tourists as well as travellers. If you’re looking for some luxury then head to the gorgeous hotel ‘The Library’; situated right on the beach with an infinity pool and delicious food, this hotel will not disappoint. You can elephant trek here, have couples massages by the ocean, see the renowned gold Big Buddha or even visit ‘BarIce’ the world’s only tropical ice bar! The possibilities are endless to have some fabulous dates and down time with your partner.

If you like to party hard be sure not to miss the famous full moon party on Koh Phangan, if you don’t fancy staying on the island you can hop on a speedboat and travel just for the party!

Koh Tao - Home to some of the best diving spots in the world, why not learn a new skill and take up a spot of scuba diving and then relax on the beach afterwards with a cheeky ‘Chang’ or strawberry daiquiri in your hand. If you’re time is limited then you can actually take a snorkelling boat trip from Koh Samui to Koh Tao, so you can still pack in as much as possible! Stay at 'The Place Luxury Boutique Villas', simply stunning!

Koh Phi Phi Don - You will most have likely already seen parts of Koh Phi Phi as it’s home to Maya Bay, where the film ‘The Beach’ was set! With romantic hideaways, gorgeous viewpoints nice restaurants, lively nightlife and beach activities, you’re sure to be kept busy! No wonder this Island is one of the most popular! Stay at the 'Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort' if you’re in need of a little luxury in your life.

Koh Lanta - If you want to relax with your loved one then this island is for you! It’s much quieter than the more popular islands, but just as beautiful! Get out a moped or quadbike and explore the winding roads and stunning view points (although with the rules of the road being very different to ours, please stay safe and try to avoid the monkeys!). Stay at the Layana Resort and Spa for your own piece of heaven.

Lets head back to the mainland ...

Chang Mai - Cuddle up with your new husband or wife, and of course baby elephants! Home to some amazing elephant sanctuaries you can play with elephants galore, who better to enjoy a once in a life time opportunity than with your new beloved. You’ll want to stay in the Dhara Dhevi it will take your breath away!Don't miss out on the night markets, they're fantastic! Sample some delicious street food and stock up with lots of trinkets including hand carved soaps that look like flowers!

Chang Rai - If you’re a culture vulture then you’ll definitely want to visit Chang Rai as it is home many temples including the beautiful white temple! You can also visit the farm at Singha Park where you can kick back and relax! If you’re looking for a quiet yet lavish hotel head to 'Le Meridien Chiang Rai Resort'

Thailand is a fantastic honeymoon destination as you can have the best of both worlds, whether you want to relax in a hammock on some of the most beautiful beaches, stay in 5* stunning hotels or trek through jungles, visit traditional temples and learn how to cook traditional Thai food, this country has everything you need to make memories to last a lifetime (and of course provide you with lot of tales to tell the grandkids!).
