This is a chance for you to research your wedding from the comfort of your own home. Don't be afraid to join in: it's fun, friendly, and a fantastic opportunity to plan your wedding. For a Venue or Supplier...

Joining in with #weddinghour will help you gain new followers, enhance your business, and build your company brand. Aim to make between five and ten new friends each week and you'll see your Twitter account grow. Word of mouth and testimonials are still the best marketing tools, so use this hour to promote others, retweet and follow new companies. You'll love it, it's addictive..!

Top Tip... Ask a question and don't make statements!

Instructions to join #weddinghour on Wednesdays between 9.00pm and 10.00pm:

  • First and foremost, before #weddinghour starts, about 8.45pm, put the kettle on, make a cup of tea or coffee (alternatively pour yourself a glass of wine) and limber up those fingers: you're going to need them!
  • Open your Twitter account. Don't forget, you don't have to be online for the full hour but, if you are, you'll interact with so many more fellow wedding peeps.
  • Type #weddinghour into the search area at the top of your Twitter page: this way, you'll see everyone joining in. Click on 'All' Tweets, so you can see everyone's Tweets in the Group rather than just those from the people you already know.
  • Start tweeting your message: remember to include #weddinghour in every Tweet, so others in the Group can see it! It also helps us to track and analyse activity each week. Did you know that we reach around 19 million Twitter followers every #weddinghour?
  • The aim of #weddinghour is to interact, make new friends, retweet, and follow others. Don't be scared: it is quite fast and furious, but you can sit back and watch to start with, then read the Tweets back at your leisure or join in from the beginning.
  • Reminder: best advice, ask a question and wait for the responses...
