In the summer, guests can sup drinks on the patio or try their skills at croquet on the lush lawn. When the weather turns, there's always an open fire indoors to warm your collective cockles.

Whatley Manor

Unadulterated luxury boutique hotel and spa meets award winning Michelin star French quisine.

Whatley Manor is a stunning setting and vows can be exchanged in the enchanting loggia garden.

Whatley Manor has hosted some incredibly stylish weddings, including grandly luxurious and private two-day events. A recent wedding featured sumptuous Moroccan tents pitched in the grounds and courtyard.

Exclusive use is required for wedding parties of more than 60 people. 90 people can be accommodated at the hotel without the use of marquees. Whatley Manor can also organise all catering, flowers and entertainment, including pianists, harpists or string quartets. The bride and groom also receive a six-month gift membership to the Aquarius spa.

Seaham Hall & Serenity Spa

Dramatic cliff top vista meets state of the art luxury

The poet Lord Byron married Annabella Milbank at Seaham Hall in 1815, in what is now the Byron room. The Byron room is licensed, and is just as romantic today as it was two centuries ago.

The south-facing terrace makes a particularly lovely spot for wedding photos in spring and summer, but Seaham Hall has an abundance of attractive indoor backdrops for the rest of the year. Seaham staff organise and host many bespoke weddings each year, but never more than one on the same day. The hotel is also becoming popular for civil-partnership ceremonies.

Lower Slaughter Manor

Cotswolds Stately manor meets luxe boutique

This stately country manor in the Cotswolds knocks the traditional formula for rural retreats on its head with all of its luxe boutique trimmings. At Lower Slaughter Manor you're surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens, a tiny village and, beyond that, rolling fields.

Weddings here are showstoppers. It's all in the mix: an idyllic setting and a tailormade approach. If you want to arrive in a Rolls Royce, be accompanied by a flock of white geese or leave in a helicoper, you only have to say the word. A dedicated events team is on hand to organise every aspect of your big day, and the hotel recently underwent a multimillion pound refurbishment.

If you take the hotel on an exclusive basis you are given a complimentary menu tasting.

For your wedding night you are guaranteed an enormous, Princess and the Pea dimensioned bed – can’t be missed!

Fowey Hall

Cornish Riviera meets easy living luxury

With spectacular views of the Fowey Estuary, a croquet lawn and a gorgeous walled garden, there can be few places better positioned to host an intimate wedding with your extended family and friends. This small, charming and unpretentious luxury hotel was the original inspiration for Toad Hall in The Wind in the Willows.

At certain times of the year, Fowey (pronounced Foy!) can be booked on an exclusive-use basis, offering privacy and total flexibility on how you and your guests want to celebrate. Have reception drinks on the terrace in summer to capitalise on those amazing views; Fowey can tailor-make a package for you to ensure you have a wonderful day.
