Spring Wedding Ideas - Easter Wedding

When I think of Easter a whole host of imagery comes to mind – daffodils, spring lambs, pretty pastels and of course Easter Eggs. Easter is symbolic of new beginnings, so what better way to start your new life together than by saying ‘I Do’ with an Easter Wedding!

The perfect backdrop for Easter would undoubtedly be where you can capture all that spring has to offer. Imagine warm spring sunshine and a beautiful country retreat, surrounded by green pastures with lambs frolicking amongst the daffodils. Dine on fresh, seasonal, spring produce – cream of Leek and potato soup, Roast lamb with garlic and rosemary, spring greens and jersey royal potatoes, followed by rhubarb fool and shortbread. My inspiration for this vision board came from the pastel tones of the sugar coated praline mini eggs and shades of spring green. The pastel shades of the eggs are echoed in both the polka dot wedding invitations and the Maisie Fantasie ‘dotty about you’ wedding cake.

The Easter theme of new life is reflected in the form of butterfly wedding favours, bursting with colour. These can be filled with the sugar coated praline eggs for your guest to take home. Spring offers beautiful scented blooms including lily of the valley, ranuculas, narcissus, anemones and tulips. Here I have chosen a neat McQueen’s bouquet of lily of the valley to complement the simplicity of the beautiful Vera Wang gown, ranuculas button holes and tulip table centres by Mathew Dickenson.
