TheWeddingVine.com recently spoke to Graham Mahood of Mahood Marquees for some insider tips to see what’s hot at the moment

You have been creating beautiful wedding marquees interiors for many years, what makes weddings special for you?

Weddings are extra special occasions and every Bride and Groom wants their big day to be as special as it can be.  For more than 40 years, it has been our mission to turn special occasions into unique events, creating memories that will last a lifetime. We work to many kinds of briefs, projects and budgets to create spacious, elegant, interiors but it’s the emphasis on attention to detail that makes the difference between a good wedding and a truly great wedding.

What’s hot at the moment?

Every wedding is unique but elegant whites never go out of syle, they can be given a traditional or contemporary twist with the right décor and lighting. One of our recent favourite projects was created for a fantastic couple who had a great sense of style. It was a pleasure to work with them because we got to showcase what we do at its best.

Our brief was to design an elegant interior that included a sweeping entrance, a reception area for guests with an oriental water feature and planting, a beautiful ceremony area with central Chuppa erected in the orangery and a dramatic celebration area for dining and dancing.

The theme that ran through this was cool, contemporary whites set off with a dramatic spectrum of lighting, mirrored surfaces and classic white roses. The finished result was so spectacular that they recreated it again for a second celebration, not one but two big days!
